 This coffee is produced by 1,200 small scale coffee farmers who have around 300 coffee trees on their farms.
The producers live on the hills surrounding Mushonyi, where the Rwacof Mushonyi washing station is located.  Rwacof has very high quality standards. The coffee cherry goes through a strict sorting process and is then passed through a pulper, followed by a 10 hour fermenation in concrete tanks. 
Rwacof invest heavily in farmer training and good agricultural practices. Furthermore, they are focused on improving the financial situation of the farmers they work with. Exceptional attention to detail post harvest ensures the best quality coffee possible.
